KUSF needs you now, please.

As many of you may know by now, USF sold KUSF behind closed doors yesterday, with no notice to the staff, volunteers, or community that it has served for the past 34 years.  Please see the notice below from our friend and KUSF DJ, Carolyn Keddy.  And please consider showing up tonight to voice your support for KUSF!

Hi.
As you've probably heard by now the University of San Francisco abruptly announced yesterday that they sold the broadcast license for KUSF by kicking DJ Schmeejay off the air, changing the locks and making everyone leave the station. None of the two hundred plus KUSF volunteers were told nor consulted about this change.


USF sees the sale of KUSF's broadcast license as quick and easy money. We need everyone to show them it isn't going to be. We ask everyone to come to USF tonight at 6:30 pm to protest the sale of KUSF. If your band has ever been played on KUSF, your label been supported by our DJs, your event promoted by the station, you won tickets from us or just heard something cool over 90.3fm please come to USF tonight and show your support for KUSF.
